So, a few obvious tweaks made to the site late last night.
First, you'll see a couple of new Navigation Bar links up top:
1 - The Arcade. Has a few games there (all the classics!) And I'm busy bittorrenting another 2,000 to scan through and I'll add the best. As you can see, I set a few high scores (hahaha!) to tempt y'all into beating me. I think Matty is currently "King of the Arcade", so go knock some spots off him, too. :p
2 - vbPlaza Menu. This menu won't do anything at the moment. It's basically the user side of the other big mod I added to the site. It's a points system where you get points for pretty much everything (posting, replying, playing Arcade games, updating your profile, etc) and those points can then be used to buy prizes (specific titles, getting your threads titles lit up in neon colours, ability to use unusual avatars, etc). I haven't had time to config this fully because it's so bloody big and complex for the admin! I'll get it figured out soon and then let you know what it all means to you later.
Secondly, you'll notice that my avatar has changed and is a wee bit bigger than before. I've upped the limit to a massive 800x800 pixels and 200kb. Please keep your avatar as small as possible in file size (to save on bandwidth and load times for everyone else). But if you need more avatar space, you've got it now (thanks for all the complaints! ;))
Thirdly, I'm really pleased to see Pete signed up - welcome to the first new member that isn't directly a part of our gaming history! I hope he'll be made to feel welcome and that he quickly becomes a great addition to our roster of people "Old Enough to Know Better".
Finally, I'm going to be abandoned on Thursday evening this coming week. Anyone up for a little multi-player action? Don't know what. Don't know how. But I thought I'd get the idea out there and see what y'all think. :) Suggestions for games are most welcome. If there's more than a couple of people interested, let's make sure it's somethng we can all do. Might also need to ensure that we all have the same version of whatever game(s) we pick. I can probably host a few torrents if necessary.
