Short-notice guild meet-up?

Hi all,

Apologies for abusing the front-page news, but I've just had confirmation that I'll be staying in London on Friday the 15th of January (i.e. this Friday coming).

Although I've already made plans to meet a few guildies (hi Snowy! hi Astrala!), I thought I would open things up to the wider community.

So, if you are interested in joining us for a few beers - please drop me a reply in this thread. Location is yet to be decided, but in the past we've met in the Porterhouse (just off Covent Garden). It's a huge pub with brilliant beers and is also very close to several nice places for food.

I know we've got quite a few members in the London area, so please consider if you will be able to come along!

If only I can travel to the UK w/o visa like schengen states, I would've gone just for a weekend... it would've been fun to meet over food and beers... plus I've never been to London. I would've gone in a heartbeat if really there is no border restriction, ticket flights are relatively cheap from Geneva. Plus these are kind of good/free times for me to go...

If you are a Swiss national, you don't need a visa to enter the UK:

You and your family members have the same rights as EEA nationals and their family members. The information in this guidance also applies to Swiss nationals and their family members.

And then:

Do I need a visa to enter the UK?
No. As an EEA national you do not need a visa to enter the UK.

But I'm sure the visa issue is not the most significant obstacle! ;)
