Hi all,
Hot on the heels of our guild dinging level 40 is the news that GOA have (finally!) fixed their realm war data feed. This is the primary source of information about renown gain for guilds in the game...
<Blade and Quill> have been sitting in 3rd place on the Karak Norn leaderboard for quite some time now. And, as of last night, we were still there! But there is some exciting news just on the horizon... <Black Company> are the guild in 2nd place on the leaderboard and they are now only 15 million renown ahead of us. This might sound like a lot, but they were over 80 million ahead of us just a few months ago - so we are closing the gap really, really fast. In the next few weeks, I fully expect that B&Q will take the 2nd spot on the renown leaderboard!
And without looking too far ahead, we should probably now set our sights on taking 1st place for renown on the server. Our target is <Ithilmar's Chosen> and they are a huge 150 million in front. But they are no longer the powerhouse they once were and their daily renown gain is very small compared to ours. I won't say it will happen soon, but some time in 2010 I expect <Blade and Quill> to be the top renown holding guild on Karak Norn...
