Usual suspects, please gather in #bnq on Quakenet.

I don't anticipate any problems for me this week, so I'll see you there. Hopefully this time we'll actually get some games of starcraft!

Also - just saw the August WAR newsletter went out last night. I assume this is the issue that reveals the final racial pairing (the elves/dark elves), so check the official website if you don't get the newsletter in your email.

How was Leipzig, Ralph? Did your investors show interest? Any tasty pieces of WAR info? :)

Leipzig was pretty cool, didnīt have too much time to wander around, spend most of the time at our booth and in meetings. However, lots of pictures available if anyone is interested. (Including some pics of our seraphim and dryad babes :)).

Looking forward to playing some Starcraft tonight, although I must warn you, I have NEVER played this before, so I`m a bloody n00b.

Q3 Server will be set up as soon as I find a free night to fool aroud with putty etc.

Join the club! Although, to be fair, I did play the first training mission last week. So now I know that you need to make units (I forget their name - SCV's or something like that) to do all the work. They mine minerals, extract gas from volcanoes, build buildings and repair things. So, to get you up to the same level of knowledge as myself, I will provide everything you learn in the first training mission:

Build robots!

Q3 Server will be set up as soon as I find a free night to fool aroud with putty etc.

Depending on how much "fun" we have wandering around like morons in Starcraft, we may end up inside a Q3 server somewhere. :) I don't think anyone would object to a few rounds on Tourney4, would they?

Any idea why we werenīt able to host SC or Q3 yet Barry?
My best guess is that we need to install/activate some M$ Services or something thatīs not normally. Otherwise I canīt explain why we shouldnīt be able to play online.

:eek2:

I played around with Q3 servers and clients for about an hour after you left - just trying to connect to my own host through the internet.

Almost always it didn't work.

However, a couple of times I got connected to my server and experienced terrible latency (multiple seconds). I still don't really know what the problem is, but will continue to investigate. It should be possible to resolve this issue before next week. As part of this process, I'll get server configs set up over the weekend. So you should have something to upload to your own Q3 server early next week.
