Baz in spam shocker

I've dug out some old B&Q forum databases.

I've picked through them.

I have email addresses for a lot of oldskool names (Numenor, Dalmar, Bahamut, Rafhael, Maff... the list goes on and on!).

I'm going to mailshot the lot of them :D

Many of these addresses will be dead, but the ones that aren't could be interested in WAR... :beer:

Well, the deed is done...

Almost 400 email addresses there and I've sent a nice, polite email to the lot of them. I'm certain the vast majority will be dead email addresses. What remains is likely to have a high concentration of ex Alb/Excal GM's on there (remember the old B&Q forum ran the GM forum, for planning realm-wide activities?) rather than old B&Q members.

I'll keep you posted, but even if we just get one or two old timers back it'll be a nice surprise!

There has been a surprisingly high level of live email addresses on my old list! Getting quite a few old timers replying (both from B&Q and from other guilds) and I'm asking a few of them to come join us on these boards.

Hopefully we can get a bit of a community going and join the same server at launch...

Well a spam from pBaz aint a spam at all always nice to hear from the old and proud B&Q, i played DAoC until the dying days og the game in europe so stopped this winter and havent really played anything online since then havent found the right game yet but hey who knows if i fancy the WAR online game only time will tell.

@ Laban: :wub: No decisions yet on whether B&Q will rise from the ashes for WAR. I think we don't have anyone able to spend the (large) amount of time needed to run an active, successful guild. We do plan to create <Blade&Quill> for the first few weeks (at least) so that we have a chat channel for all the old timers to gather in. But after the dust settles from launch we will probably look to move to an actively organised guild.

@ Trenn: I hope you will at least try a free first month? Even if it's just to catch up with the same old fridge magnets from DAoC! :drink:

i just remembered palthor and silvertemper are/were playing WoW on argent dawn (the server i play on) and i actually meet silvertemper at a orgainsed meet

i was kinda surprised when i got a mail from pbaz.
unlike most of you i'm still playing daoc though not the live servers (they really screwed up with the latest expansions/patches) the server i play on only allows classic daoc content with some limited newer stuff.

i wont be joining you in war since my new fulltime job takes most of my time and spore takes what's left. I'll drop by here once in a while to check up and have a little chat.

it's been really nice seeing familiar names agains, brings back a lot of fun memories ^^

Well I've not been able to wait and setup a EU account from here in Oz.

Will be around quite a bit for the next 3 or 4 weeks, but then I'm back off travelling until March 2010 - So I'll probably save your guild slots and join up when I'm back home and more active!
